Reading into this article "Downturn Drags More Consumers Into Bankruptcy" published in the New York Times confirms this fear. 4936 people filed for bankruptcy, every day, in October,08, in USA. Americans are not rich; they are a debt-ridden nation. They have possessed homes, cars, luxuries not with their savings but with credit card or bank loans.They called these possessions theirs, while all belonged to banks or financiers.
